This was one of the best trips we have taken! Mohamed was an incredible guide. All the accommodations were fantastic. The food was very good, very fresh. Literally, from farm to table. We felt safe the entire trip. We learned so much about the culture and history of Morocco.

Meri, Florida

I’m not sure what I was expecting but it was nothing compared to this trip. Morocco was the most beautiful place I have ever seen and the people that live there are just as amazing. Thank you thank you thank you for a trip of a lifetime!!

I was blessed to connect and travel with Mohamed and Jenny in 2019, it was a dream. The love and passion Mohamed and Jenny have for the essence of Moroccan culture infuses everything they do, I cannot recommend them enough.

A chance encounter with a desert nomad, a night in an ancient earth built kasbah, these are the treasures which will stay with you long after you have returned home.

Meet the team

Mohamed is a fully licensed tour guide and member of the Bohemian Travellers team.

Mohamed

Mohamed is a fully licensed tour guide, one of the most experienced and respected in his profession. He has been accompanying travellers the length and breadth of the country for 12 years and is known locally as the Wikipedia of Morocco! There is not a question on history, culture, food, music or movies that Mohamed doesn’t have an answer for.

Mohamed was born and raised in the Sahara desert, speaks too many languages to count, and is justly proud of his country and culture. His greatest pleasure is in ensuring the happiness and safety of his guests.

“My country has everything one needs in life, mountains, forests, ocean and Sahara desert. But we have the most important thing specially in the south in the villages, we have each other. We care about each other and we respect other cultures, nations and religions.“

Jenny the co-founder of Bohemian Travellers in the Atlas Mountains, Morocco, where she has been working for the past 25 years.

Jenny

Jenny, as the founder and creative director of Bohemia Design, has been working in Morocco for the past 25 years. The mission of Bohemia is to support the ethical production of artisanal crafts and Jenny has developed an extensive network of contacts within the artisan communities.

It is her passion to share this knowledge and to invite guests to join her in exploring souks, workshops and rural communities to see for themselves the incredible skill which goes into crafting the wondrous goods Morocco is so famous for; textiles, basketry, leather goods, pottery, metal and wood work, all still made entirely by hand in time-honoured fashion.

“I’m usually to be found somewhere deep in the souks sitting in a tiny workshop drinking mint tea with my artisan friends”

A Bohemian Family

Mohamed and Jenny may be the face of Bohemian Travellers but working behind the scenes is an extended family of drivers, restaurateurs, accommodation owners, artisans and many more, who make these trips an experience like no other. The amazing people who comprise the team very quickly make you feel Morocco is your home and you are welcomed as long lost friends rather than strangers to their country.

We believe in taking the road less travelled as this is where the real magic of Morocco lies.
